Our proven Personal Trainer Courses consist of specialisations you can learn full-time or part-time at our learning centre in South East London, or online, in the comfort of your home.

Available Courses

Once you embark on your journey to become a Personal Trainer (PT), you may take courses that will teach you the fundamentals of personal training, learn more advanced training techniques, and additional courses. Our online PT courses include:

  • Personal Training – This course teaches you the essentials of Personal Training, and serves as the starting point for the succeeding classes. This will introduce you to basic concepts of health and nutrition, the human musculoskeletal system, benefits of exercise, and other basic information relevant to the Personal Trainer occupation.
  • Level 2 Fitness Instruction (Gym-Based Exercise)
  • Level 3 Certificate in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training
  • Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training

Flexibility – If you devote much of your time to a nine-to-five job, have a busy lifestyle, or raise children, our Online Fitness Courses enable you to study in your preferred schedule. Take as many (or as few) lessons as you like, at the time and day that works for you. With the flexibility offered, it’s not unusual for you to accomplish your units within 6 months—even with a few hours of studying each week. You will also receive support from a dedicated tutor.

Unhurried Pace – Our online courses offer unparalleled flexibility in terms of your learning curve. Learn the concepts and imbibe the lessons at your own pace; you may finish the course from 6 months to 3 years, depending on how much time and effort you devote to the courses.

Course Requirements

The minimum requirements for each course include a level of physical fitness, and some experience in gym-based exercise. This includes the use of free weights. It would help to have the following skills to do well in some aspects of these courses:

  • Some ability and confidence in basic communication; you will be required to have discussions, and make presentations
  • Written exams will be required in some courses
  • You must be able to attend some classroom lectures and be present at our gym for hands-on instruction
  • A laptop or desktop computer with internet connection (1Mbps minimum speed) for online course-taking

Note that working experience in the fitness industry is not a prerequisite to taking or qualifying for any of our courses.

Course Duration

The time needed to complete each course varies due to amount of content, nature of the lessons, and the tests required. You have the option to take the courses online, and the days and hours for each course are as follows:

Personal Training

Full time:  Classroom study over 10 days (Mon-Fri only), including practical assignments.

Part-time: Classroom study over 5 days (Mon-Fri only) including all assessments, mixed with home-based study to cover remaining course content.

Online: Comprehensive resource package with unlimited dedicated tutor support.

Level 2 in Fitness Instruction, Gym-Based Exercise

Full time:  Classroom study over 10 days (Mon-Fri only), including practical assignments.

Part-time: Classroom study over 5 days (Mon-Fri only) including all assessments, mixed with home-based study to cover remaining course content.

Online: Comprehensive resource package with unlimited dedicated tutor support.

Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training

Full time:  Classroom study over 10 days (Mon-Fri only), including practical assignments.

Part-time: Classroom study over 2 days with an additional day for practical assessments.

Online: Comprehensive resource package with unlimited dedicated tutor support.

Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training

Full time:  Classroom study spanning 20 days, spread over 8 weeks. Some classes will be conducted on weekends. Practical assessments are included in the 8-week period.

Part-time: Classroom study over 4 days, with 4 online webinars for 12 participants.

Online: Comprehensive resource package with unlimited dedicated tutor support.

With our Level 2 Fitness Instruction – Gym Based Exercise course, you can gain the necessary experience and knowledge for becoming a qualified personal trainer.

You will learn to plan, instruct, and evaluate one-to-one gym programmes.
