Course Description

You will start by completing the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Nutrition and Health which is designed for a wide range of learners with some existing knowledge of this area and who are interested in improving their understanding of nutrition and healthy eating.  This course will increase your understanding of the principles of healthy eating and the role of food in maintaining health including how to

  • increase confidence in planning and achieving a healthy diet
  • provide an understanding of how an individual’s dietary requirements change throughout their life
  • provide an understanding of food labelling and the ability to use information from food labels
  • provide information on eating disorders
  • increase understanding of the role of a healthy diet for weight management.

You will then move onto the Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training. As a personal trainer you will possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to design safe and effective fitness programs and will instruct and assist people in reaching personal health and fitness goals. This programme starts with the Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing where you will learn the fundamentals of how to be a successful fitness professional. You will then move on to The Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training where you will enhance your understanding on topics such as anatomy and physiology, training systems and nutrition, as well as client care and health and safety.

You will also have access to workshops including business set up and marketing to help you kickstart your new career.

On completion of this programme you will be fully qualified and ready for a role as a personal trainer.
